Cedar Valley Readers is excited to announce our First Annual Attendance Awareness Poster Contest! We encourage any elementary (k-6th grade) student in the Cedar Valley to enter. All you need to do is think creatively about how reading “takes you places!”
Did a great story transport you to a far-away world full of unbelievable creatures? Show them to us! Or maybe you read recently read about frogs and butterflies, then took a trip to the park to explore more? Draw it for us! Or, perhaps you want to take a more literal approach and illustrate how your reading skills help you decipher a map, or read street signs! Maybe you love of reading takes you to a place you get to read with your friends every day….your school!
Prizes will be awarded for most creative poster in two categories: K-2 and 3-6! Make sure to get your entries in by September 1st.
Posters can be mailed or dropped off at the Operation Threshold offices:

Rules:
- One entry per student.
- Posters must be 8 ½ x 11 inches, horizontal or vertical orientation.
- Illustration must be student’s own original artwork.
- Clearly print the artist’s name, address, grade and school on the back lower right-hand corner.
- All entries will belong to Cedar Valley Readers and will not be returned to students.
